Learning from life is a truth, and each of us must see that it has a relationship with our own life. Everything in life is a reflection of our life. From small things to big things, we must learn to do, experience, and feel within and without. The real teacher is life. We become assistants to serve the life teacher with humbleness and mind.
We hope to train more life teacher assistants for the learning circle who are capable of accompanying life, serving, and caring for life in various regions in Malaysia and abroad.
History of Life Teacher Assistant Programme
In 2018, AKASHA formally implemented a brand-new teacher training plan for life teacher assistants, which is a continuation of the life trainer plan that was implemented from 2006 to 2017, in order to inject deeper AKASHA learning-oriented spiritual practice and provide AKASHA learning-oriented society. The future development of the group should be more robustly cultivated and inherited.
Description of Training Plan
The “Life Teacher” assistant teacher training programme is mainly to integrate senior students from all potential IGCP and learning circles and absorb them as human resources to serve as the basis for the development of learning communities in various places. The training plan is adjusted according to different regions, and the training content is divided into five parts-Part 1: The Way of Being a Teacher; Part 2: Introduction to Learning Community, Introduction to Moral Rearmament/Initiatives of Change; Part 3: Practical and learning community operation; Part IV: Internship period; Part V: Presentation of training conclusion topics; the total training hours are about 330 hours. At present, the training has been taking place in Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, and Seremban in Malaysia; Bandung in Indonesia; Pagadian in the Philippines, and other places.
Life Teacher Assistant Training Programme
The training lasts for two years. In addition to the intensive training, group learning activities are held twice a year, with a monthly class/gathering for three hours each time, and a final assignment presentation is made every two years.
- The first phase will consist of 10 classes (online, three hours each), from December 2021 to March 2022. 30 hours are counted. At this stage, a 500-word personal training reflection report must be completed on a weekly basis and handed in before Saturday, totaling 10 weeks.
- The second phase will run for at least 18 months, from April 2022 to August 2023. It is a fixed monthly training and further study, 3 hours each time, totaling 54 hours++. This monthly training is based on the physical class. At this stage, a 1,500-word personal training reflection report must be completed on a monthly basis and handed in within 10 days after the training, totaling 18 months.
- There will be four group study activities within 18 months, each time for two days and one night, 4 times for a total of 80 hours. This activity must complete a report, with a word count of more than 1500 words, and submit it within 10 days after the training.
- Implement the Talk About Life Live (TALL) from the first to the third stage, and one online TALL, 4 hours per person. 32 hours total.
- Lifecare project: one on one conversation training and individual in-depth dialogue training, 4 times per person, 1 hour each. 32 hours total.
- Pass the written examination.
- Complete the training project presentation assessment (including oral report, defense, etc.).
- Complete the seven-course practical operation of IGCP, with a total of 100 hours.
